First Time in Portugal

I always love being pleasantly surprised, being proven wrong when my expectation is low. Portugal has my heart. This is my first trip to Portugal and it did not disappoint. The beach, ambiance, and people are so beautiful. I am missing Portugal already just by looking at my summer photos. It was definitely for the books.

We decided to explore Lagos instead of Lisbon for its beaches. I am so glad that we did! The beaches in Lagos are breathtaking! We went to Praia Dona Ana and Praia do Camilo. Since we were in the Algarve coast, there were multiple beaches in the region and they were all so close to each other!

Our Portugal trip just happened after our London trip. We stayed in London for 5 days and everyday was so tiring with all the constant walking and exploring. Don’t get me wrong, I love London and everyday was really fun. However, it was really tiring too so the change of phase in Portugal was really appreciated. I supposed we could call it a “lazy trip” then or staycation?

I enjoyed spending our days in the beaches just lounging, reading, taking in the scenery, and eating non-stop pastel de nata. OMG! I love pastel de nata! It’s a Portuguese custard tart and it’s absolutely delicious! Would have to go back to Portugal just for that.

If you eat really late like I do, you’re going to love that Portugal’s restaurants mostly closes around midnight or later. We went to Nah Nah Nah Burger and their variety is amazing! They have vegetarian, chicken, beef, and so on! The restaurant is so lively and just fun. I wish I took pictures of our other meals but I think we were too hungry for photos!

Some of the beaches also have caves and cool land formations that you could explore! If you’re more adventurous, you can climb and go inside the narrow passages. I did not, because I was scared. Lol. Also, felt super over-dressed in the beach. Some were nude while tanning and swimming. I did not swim because the water was too cold for me!

However, I took a lot of photos especially during the sunset! It’s so beautiful! I can’t get over how lucky I am to be able to finally visit Portugal! Everything is so worth it. This summer is so memorable and I can’t wait to put every photos in an album! Wishing everyone a great day!

Love,

CHY
