Do you know the feeling when you receive a very unexpected gift from someone? That feeling when you opened a very peculiar box and inside is 100 different kinds of luxurious chocolates and sweets? Yes! That’what I first felt when I saw Austria: wonderment and awe.
I visited Vienna, Austria last summer. My grandpa or “Lolo” in my language, Filipino, told me before I left USA that I am going to love Austria. I was very skeptical because I was very unfamiliar with the country. In fact, I did not even know that it was part of my itinerary.
Whenever I think about Europe, Austria is not one of the countries that come first in my mind. France, Italy, Switzerland, England, and Spain are the ones that I know very well.
That is why Austria was definitely a pleasant surprise. Oh! The photo above was taken in front of an organic architecture!
I guess if I have to describe Austria in one word, then I would have to go with “artistic”. Interesting and beautiful architectures fill Austria. The country was artistically done that it really catches everyone’s eyes. Vienna is also the City of Music. It is where Beethoven and Mozart also became really famous. Also, the world acclaimed Vienna Mozart Orchestra was in Vienna when I was there so I got to watch them and it was simply magnificent. It’s funny because my Dad also watched them when he was still a teenager! Look at all those people with their phones! Haha.
