Damsel, but definitely not in distress. I love the quote below because I love feminism and the quote definitely hints that women don’t always need men to save them. I fully agree! Although I look and act very feminine, I am a black belt in Taekwondo. Although I love clothes, shoes, bags and shopping, I competed and won multiple times in both local and international competition too.
“I’m a damsel, I’m in distress, I can handle this. Have a nice day.”
I love disney quotes because although the target audiences of their productions are the children, their lessons and quotes are for everyone. I am a woman. That means I am physically weaker compare to most men. I am Asian too. That mens that my body build is slimmer and more petite. However, that does not mean that I could not do things that men do.
I can fight, lift weights and run as fast as them too if I put my mind into it.
Gender should not define your capabilities and most importantly, who you are.
You shape who you are and at the end of the day, it’ll always be your honor, integrity and values that will define who you are.
Be proud of yourself and what you stand for!
I do not have to wait to be saved because I know I can do it myself. And I feel like that’s what everyone should know. Don’t rely on someone so much. Although that person is very reliable, there’ll be a time when that person could not be there for you so learn to do it yourself.
Lastly, don’t forget to have fun!
